Everyone on Team Perfectly Pitched is thrilled to announce that we’ve partnered with Baltimore Creatives Acceleration Network’s Scale Your Passion 2022 Fellowship program! BCAN supports Baltimore’s best up & coming artists & creative entrepreneurs of all disciplines and backgrounds city-wide. By promoting the economic empowerment of our city’s creative entrepreneurs, BCAN aims to foster a stronger, more equitable creative ecosystem and economy in Baltimore.
Perfectly Pitched has been providing educational workshops, pitching resources, and supportive practice sessions, helping each fellow to hone their overall business storytelling strategy & perfect their pitch in preparation for Showcase Day! We’ve been working with the fellows for the past several weeks, each and every one of whom are inspiring leaders in their own right. Currency Studio is a Baltimore-based creative studio founded in 2017 by Michael Haskins Jr and Erica Lee Page. Haskins began CURRENCY in 2007 as a line of clothing. At its core, Currency Studio is the house for all currency branded products. The practices that Haskins & page incorporate are painting, silkscreen printing, drafting, and designing.

GRL PWR is a collaborative partnership between two Baltimore-based musicians, Amy Reid & Pangelica Hall. Our mission is to transform Baltimore’s cultural landscape through the elevation of LGBTQIA+ artists. Our work nurtures an influential yet overlooked local culture through event curation and community-focused programming.
Micknai Arefaine, Founder
Chef Micknai Arefaine brings the fusion stylings of Ethiopian cuisine to Habesha Flavor! Arefaine began joyfully sharing food with friends and neighbors, preparing the simple Ethiopian dishes that are a part of her life. “People just loved the food and they wanted more of it. It was like something from my heart and it was very healing.” Everything served at Habesha Flavor is dairy free, gluten free, corn free, and nut free.
I. Henry Photo Project
Webster Phillips III, Founder
Mr. Irving Phillips, Sr. illustrated life in the Baltimore community, telling stories about people of celebrity and the joys and tribulations of the working class. His work includes tens of thousands of images, documenting the history of Baltimore, as well as the nation at-large. Founded by his son, Webster Phillips III, the I. Henry Photo Project focuses on identifying unknown people and places in Mr. Phillips work, in an effort to preserve the history & tell the stories of Baltimore.
JP Jackson Art
Jordan Jackson, Founder
Jordan P. Jackson is an interdisciplinary artist, comic book writer, animator, and graphic designer based in Baltimore, Maryland. JP Jackson Art is a production company that empowers intersectional storytelling through comics and animation. Born from the necessity to empower black artists and storytellers, we elevate black stories and bring cinematic quality to the comic experience.
Visionary Live Studios
Akilah McCrorey, Founder
Akilah Divine is a multi-disciplinary artist; singer, spoken word artist, rapper, and actress who was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. She graduated from Delaware State University earning her master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), and two Bachelor of Science Degrees: Social Work and Mass Communications. Visionary Live Studios supports artists & events in Baltimore, MD.
